Dr Wright Memorial

We had a very successful 2007 season, the highlights of which being Ulster Champions 2007, Drumming World Champions 2007 and Champion of Champions 2007 and we hope to continue this success this season as we enter grade 4A.

"On a bleak August afternoon, amidst a backdrop of torrential rain and overcast skies, the drummers of the Dr Wright Memorial descended onto the mud-spattered fields of Glasgow Green. Armed with drumsticks and sheer talent, the musical-wizards brandished their Andantes with colossal skill and flair in a performance that would make great legends such as Jim Kilpatrick weep with pride. After this fierce yet controlled display of comradeship and aptitude, it soon emerged that Mr Johnson had led his army to a triumphant victory, defeating any enemies who stood in their way...they had truly won the ultimate Battle of the Beats. Future protégés could only gaze in awe at these masters of drumming in action, hoping that one day, they too could create musical gold'
